bet sizing thoughts

someone i know is having bet sizing issues

they bet too small, or to big and they know why they are betting, but they dont know the size they are betting. they just kind of pick a cute little number and go with it.

ive been told, betting "x % of pot" isnt even an accurate play. when you bet, you always want to bet given your opponents stack size.

as for my learnings , you taught me a ton , and ive been told a ton from other people, and nowadays , sizing is one of my biggr strengths.

Ya thats too big of a topic. One thing about bet sizing though we prob should be harping on people about it if we are prone to 7bet shoving air into the nuts or trying to 4bet fold a pocket pair with 30bbs.

You'll also find you aren't very helpful to others when you didn't sit down to learn the basics of poker in the first place.

Examples would be helpful though, otherwise this is just an empty thread

You have the best opportunity a guy could ask for at dagobaht cave, any strat questions you want answered. I play 100's of people a day that would kill for this. Poker is easy if you lean the basics properly. But too ignore all that, too ignore learning about poker, to ignore strategy altogether and to just come in and ask, "how can I get my friend to listen to MY strategy advice" is kinda hypocritical isn't it?
