Re: How to set AK on fire!!
well would a better answer be why fold (to a 5bet) when we could have flatted a 3bet and tried to hit a Axx Kxx flop ?sngking wrote:JodaB. wrote:but what questions do you have though?sngking wrote:HAHA I like that guy and that video.

Re: How to set AK on fire!!
I so agree, it doesn't hit often! But at least it's not costing us most of our stack or even all off it.

Re: How to set AK on fire!!
Well we can find a stat on how often we flop AXX or KXX or AKX prob a good assignment to find the % on them
Anyways, the idea with the video is when look at AK and think 'ok I raise cause I have ak' and the villain 5bets, we've nutted his range, he never 5bets with worse (rare) and therefore we are getting it in vs QQ+ because he always fold his air to a 4bet.
So if we are going to feel screwed if we get re-raised then we should just flat or fold in the first place.
Now if we have 50bbs or 100bbs vs a reg thats a little looser we might just get AK in anyways and just shrug our shoulders to it.
A little side not, we don't want to flat hands out of position vs 3bets either, so often we'll make tight folds here with aj etc. But flatting AK out of position here will be better than 6bet/calling, even if we play post flop face up.

Re: How to set AK on fire!!
Which is about the same equity we have against a nutted range. So should we turn to implied odds to proceed in this hand?
