well you still haven't taken the one position I highlighted and categorized each hand into the 3 reasons. Once we do that, its likely you'll secure your release (for now Wink)

It was 11 posts ago and it should only take 2mins, why resist. One more final turn and you've opened your door and created strong opening fundamentals. It matters because you will finally have a strong opening range theory understanding. gogogo!

Unfortunately you are not free to post on this site until you complete this thread. 3 days in solitary confinement and you can come back and finish up and unlock your own freedom.

Have a smoke before you come back because if you don't simply finish the task, and attempt to make unrelated comments you'll be sent back to solitary for twice the time.

Well those ranges are better than I've seen from you before, but we already hashed them out earlier in the thread.  The prob with you losing your patience is you forget the question.  Its a really simple quick question, first here are your ranges cheat sheet:

Smoke's opening chart wrote:UTG-99+,AJs+,AJo+

UTG1-99+,AJs+,AJo+

UTG 2-99+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+

MP-88+,ATs+,KJs+,AJo+,KQo

HJ-66+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KQo

CU- 22+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,A9o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo

BU-22+,A2s+,K7s+,Q8s+,J8s+,T8s+,98s,87s,A2o+,K9o+,QTo+,JTo

SB-22+,A2s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T8s+,98s,87s,A2o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo
Heres the last question for understanding preflop early game opening ranges:
Jail Key Question wrote:So lets take the button range: BU-22+,A2s+,K7s+,Q8s+,J8s+,T8s+,98s,87s,A2o+,K9o+,QTo+,JTo

and categorize it into the three reasons:

1) Steal

2) Get it in

3) Gain postflop

We want to put each hand where it belongs of the three and potentially some belong in 1, 2, or 3 of the categories.

2) Get it in- 22+ depending on what pairs and stronger aces

ya sorry i misunderstood

most hands we raise from button except the top of our range, we are theoretically stealing, and gaining post flop because of position

Right on, that last exercise is important, maybe you didn't understand it when I asked before. But now when you open pre, you can ask yourself why you are opening. Is it to stack off? Is it to steal? Is it a good postflop hand?

And now when a good player you know, says "I think thats a fold." you can ask why? Do we not want to stack off? Do we not pick up the blinds enough? Is it a bad post flop hand?

Once you master this, flop turn and river get really easy.
