Went in and booked the night off...

Here is my thoughts on this hand.

If UTG1 RFI stat is high then I would prob call like you did pre, get it in on the flop . Also calling a squeeze from the blinds preflop, if it were to happen..

If UTG1 is playing a standard from his pos., I would 3bet jam this hand. we are about 50/50 preflop against his range (10% ish range).

I have to do some stuff so I will get to the other hands after

I was afraid to gii vs this guys utg1 4b. Don't think he flicks in aj pre so I think we'd be crushed a lot...

to me this is very telling, but I dunno maybe crushing mtt players always flat here, I think its a std 3bet/call/gii tho. We're 20bbs effective right?

I have this conversation with students lots and it comes from a different aspect of our range.

Do you feel there isn't enough fold equity pre to 3bet light?

What happens in spots like this is players feel like they can't get any value because villains 4bet range is so tight, so they flat near premiums. Rather they should put some bluff in there 3bet range, and then can expect villain to 4bet jam wider. So I suspect your 3bet range is not balanced here otherwise I think AQo would be too good to flat.

On there turn we are getting TT+ to fold? We have blockers to AQ hands and AK.

Lots to think about here. but yea we are 20bb effective.... and I think there is enough fold equity to bluff 3 bet.... Guess Im not balanced in these spots...

HOW DO WE BALANCE OUR RANGE, IN GAME? (without feeling like we are just bluffing, just cause). ya know? I struggle with this concept a lot, like how do we keep our range static enough to know we will make the same decision each time that specific scenario comes up (hypothetically, since all spots are different)?

We don't need to get specific like that, it will build over time, once the macro aspects are in place.

If villain folds enough that we can bluff we should prob have aqo in our 3bet calling range.

Once we 3bet we have odds to call and knowing we get folds pre we should expect a good profit.

We can flat sometimes, but I really think we are too strong here and can do it for value. 20bbs seems just perfect to flip with aqo though.
