62s in the bb
villain seemed to be playing solid, I think he is regish, cant recall for sure but his name rang a bell... check back is prob still an ace imo, so check fold is good? what if turn was a 6?

Re: 62s in the bb
TBH I'm always folding Preflop in this spot.
If the turn brings a 6, I think we can call down small bets on the turn and river. I don't like committing our stack here.

Re: 62s in the bb
Defo want to go into this. I know some players that feel we can flat atc getting nearly 4 to 1. I like to flat wide lots but need reads to really push it I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one reebsy!

Re: 62s in the bb
Yah I flat atc to min raises from the bb. In this specific case I'm not sure how the ft affects things. But purely cev, I flat any hands I'm not raising.
And really we can start to assume our odds are even greater than 4:1 of we throw on their wide cbet stats?

Ya my backer tries to do the same thing, I suspect you seen the same vid as them or something. Perhaps I have to re write my whole game but I'm really thinking this is gonna cause great issue for you.REEBS77 wrote:Yah I flat atc to min raises from the bb. Seems like we would be tossing away all the ev we accumulated over the whole turn through -$ev flats and postflop play.
These are the only read you have:

Can we really play 62 oop without reads on a ft vs a ep opener?

Re: 62s in the bb
I think the question we really need to ask is:
Do we actually ever realize the preflop equity that we currently (pre) have?
Like looking at the odds for the call only, we have enough equity vs almost any opening range to make the flat profitable at 4 to 1. The rest of the hand shouldnt matter, so long as we arent giving up some of our equity postflop due to ep's conceived range. So if we do flat these hands, we have to be prepared to stack off with some pretty weak hands that have connected with the board. This is why I dont think its a good flat on the FT. if it wasnt FT, i think i like the flat more.... It pains me to fold to min raises from the bb now. haha.
Overall I am getting more comfortable playing postflop and i think i find more success there nowadays. In mtts anyways.
