Why do you play poker?

Ha we are the only ones around right now. I play because I love the math aspect of the game, I have control over my own time, and I'm gonna bring this game to its knees and use it to destroy 'economy' and bring time travel into existence.

Reasons I love poker:
- I get to make money playing a game that I truly enjoy playing.
- I'm my own boss
- I get a thrill/rush going deep in fun/big tournies (although that hasn't happened much this year)
- The super competitive aspect of it.
- The life lessons it teaches you: ex. life, like poker, isn't fair all the time but bitching about your situation/feeling sorry for yourself won't get you anywhere, only hard work will.

Well back in the good ole days when I played mtt's it was the rush of getting deep/final table or seeing me as a chip leader in a tourny, but more important was the thinking part of the game and and watching poker on t.v. and saying this is something that is beatable which got me pretty motivated.

I can't say the same thing nowadays, with all the bad stuff that's happened in online poker over the years has killed it for me pretty much, that and technical issues I am having right now and no time cause of the shitty shift I work which I hate.

Once or if cause it's been awhile since I have been looking and saying this that I get my new set up, laptop, desk etc I will probably be dabbling a bit into online poker again.

Most of all I do it for the money, but I also play because I am a competive person. It feels great when you take a mtt down with a lot of players in it.
