Re: 99 sqz thoughts
yes much of your poker time will be spent release old thoughts that are just bad habits. You are going to lose pots, have bad beats, lose heads up with a 12 to 1 chip lead, have bluffs snapped with 5th pair, lose giant pots vs fish late game etc. It shouldn't mean anything to you because your profits are made off the tables when you learn. Just tell yourself that thinking is wrong and losing in these spots are what ever winner has to go through.RWPKRPLR1 wrote:still getting used to all of this

Re: 99 sqz thoughts
thats fine, it prob means you are too loose though. You might look at it and judge for yourself, but the more correct way would be to look at it in nash, and I think you'll find its prob -ev.Smoker.B. wrote:i think 99 is a fine spot here

Re: 99 sqz thoughts
looking at the numbers here, it seems i might be good here. i needed 29% to call and with the ranges i put into stove get about 36% so shouldn't i shove?
AI 22+,A2s+,K9s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,A8o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo, call 55+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+,KQo vs 99
nash had me shoving here without adjustments and even with some changes it still does, but thats prob cause i put the calling villains 3bet call range to tight
is it because he shouldn't be folding any of his range and its to much of a gamble?

Re: 99 sqz thoughts
the player that failed to iso is either really weak or really strong
and obv in this case was really weak (because he folded) so I think this was a great play with 99
im not even being results oriented i swear!

Re: 99 sqz thoughts
Ya that's true, that means my range is off for the villain calling I can prob shave off the top 2.6% of hands.. Even bad players know that AA don't fair well against multiple hands.
Tbh in game I didn't have him on a big hand at all.. That range is a product of HR

Re: 99 sqz thoughts
well he can be medium too, so really what it means is a wide range on average.Smoker.B. wrote:the player that failed to iso is either really weak or really strong

no i don't think you can suggest that they always raise with AA but are confident to play a weaker hand in this way.RWPKRPLR1 wrote:Ya that's true, that means my range is off for the villain calling I can prob shave off the top 2.6% of hands..
