Implied Odds
Here you go SNGKing, this is my basic breakdown of Implied odds. I have a question about it to, so I thought I would create this thread. Joda If I have anything wrong pls correct me.
What is Implied Odds: Implied odds are what you figure to make from your opponent(s) on future betting rounds.
When do we use Implied Odds: When we're Deepstacked we can look at playing the Implied odds game. Forget about it when you're short stacked.
Implied Odds rule: I have read a couple articles on this and they say if you want to call with implied odds, both your opponent(s) and your stack must have 15X amt behind.
How do we use Implied Odds: So lets say we're in MP with 66, blinds are 50/100. EP raises 200(2x), for you to call with implied odds the EFFECTIVE STACK must be 3K.
Bet size - Effective stack required
2x - 30bb
3x - 45bb
4x - 60bb
I hope this helps. there is more to it for post flop, but I haven't looked into it, I primary focus for now is preflop.
Now for my question... Joda I know that you use another multiplier for this, why? (I didn't want to include it here because u may have changed over the years.)

Re: Implied Odds
no i didn't have a multiplier, only for sets, which is a really not accurate. Another type of implied odds I think would be if you know villain will bet on the next street. Depending on the size of their bet and our hand equity, we can sometimes call, or bet knowing we have implied odds if we hit.
So things can happen when we are short too, they are just more specific spots.
For many draws when need to expect to get paid off in order to pay to see another card.
This is obv easiest against Loose aggressive players and specifically players that will represent the draw that hit.
Or if villain is a call station we can check call and bet big when we hit and get paid big enough to make our call +ev, even though it was -ev at the time.
