Donk Betting

Here, I would like to discuss all things donk....

When do you donk bet?
Against who?
What board textures?
What stacks?
Value heavy or bluff heavy?

Also, typical opinions on what other peoples donks represent....

I watched one of the best vids I've ever seen yesterday by squee and just want to ensure I captured everything properly and I think this is a great way to do it.

I will update my thoughts on the questions above after I hear from u guys...

Okay well I am going to look through my database tonite, but I would be willing to bet that my donking range was 100% for value in the past. I just didnt have a donk bluffing range really. Obviously not optimal, but I do not think that it's uncommon by any means.

So a few of my thoughts quickly off the top of my head:

- Adam went through his db and found he won 34/38 opportunities where he donk bet and it didnt go to showdown. Think about that for a bit. Thats unreal!
- We want to have both donk bluffs and donks for value to keep balanced.
- We want to check stats before donking - fold to donk, cbet %, RFI by position, check-raises, etc
- We want to donk when our range smacks the flop way harder than OR's range, but we have little or no equity. Ex. MP TAG opens, we flat KJs from BB, flop comes 953r. Boom, we donk this. We have way more value hands in our flatting range than MP does in his opening range (villian dependant obv).
- Should we consider donk betting less often with strong value hands, since it seems to get so many folds? Board texture will change our plans though?....

Squee aluded to another topic which i think can be very valuable....

Lets say a reg opens from the btn and we flat from the bb and flop comes A69r.  Should we donk this flop with our complete air?  Technically speaking we should hit that flop harder than btn opener.  Reg on the btn could easily open ~70% of hands, and we really should only be flatting/playing about half that.  Therefore we have the ace more often...

I plan on it ... When I get some time this week I'm gunna post examples and results from me trying it out this weekend a bit . I think it's hard to spit out hypothetical ranges and the above was just roughly speaking.... Examples HHs kick ass IMO

It might seem overwhelming at first but we should be able to work out a preflop raiser range, our flatting range vs that person, and our donking range.

A hh is just a vaccum example, maybe like reebs in bb joda on the button 100bbs deep no antes. Or we wanna look at 15bbs with antes or something?

If h min raises, I ain't folding since I know I can outplay him post flop

I prob 3 bet somewhere around a 15% range in this spot, which is hopefully balanced between bluffs and value but prob more value.... Flat the rest except maybe the major off suited trash that I don't wanna play so much oop ... So I play prob 95% of hands if h min raises.

If he raises more than a min raise, the amount I flat drops
