Re: J9s flop top pair
Haven't studied ICM enough, so I'm prob way off here..
If we CIB, he jams, we can fold...
If we CIB, he calls, we can jam any turn that's not a A,K,Q..
edit: I like the CIB Better than jamming just for the fact we have a chance to save some of our Tournament eq. if he wakes up

Re: J9s flop top pair
i just think its too good to raise fold, we have too much equity after we 3bet. Cib is ok but only if we know opponent folds sometimes to a cib. Flatting is good to, but were kinda short so there isn't much room and if we don't have postflop reads we're not going to be confident we can outplay their range better than jamming will do.

another case of me simply over thinking it! I'm with ya on the no post flop play, but in this case I was thinking ICM adjusts that...

Re: J9s flop top pair
Ya if I cib it woulda been to get it in not to fold. And I'd do it cus I thought villain could spaz out with weaker

Re: J9s flop top pair
I think you mean that icm doesn't want us to call off our stack. But that doesn't mean to suggest that in spot we call we know fold. It means we want to take lines where we put the calling pressure on villain and take it off us. Having to 3bet/fold a pretty hand in icm is a line we usually avoid all together, so we will either shove or flat.RWPKRPLR1 wrote:

Re: J9s flop top pair
ya with reads for sure we would do this, without them I dunno, my worry is villain is opening like 20% BW pairs and aces. That not to tough of a range to go against but we semi short we no reads given. The thing about flatting pre is we never win the pot, so we are forced to gain post by fold equity and value, which is doable but I'd rather do it with reads.REEBS77 wrote:Ya if I cib it woulda been to get it in not to fold.
